Acers, or Japanese Maples are small, deciduous trees that are grown for their graceful habit and beautiful foliage that may be richly coloured and/or deeply dissected in Spring and Summer. However come Autumn, Acers create a spectacular display with their colours turning fiery crimson, orange and gold. Mostly slow growing, they are the classic small trees for traditional Japanese gardens. They are also well suited to the restricted space of modern suburban gardens, whether planted in the ground or in containers, they are a very versatile plant. This Acer comes as a Standard/Topiary.

    • Small, beautifully shaped tree
    • Great for small gardens
    • Spectacular Autumn colour
    • Ideal for containers

    Additional Information

Cold, frost-laden winds in late winter or early spring can scorch the young leaves. Avoid a position where they will be hit by morning sun following a frosty night. Instead Acers like a cool, lightly shade position, out of direct sun in summer.
