    Ilex crenata, also known as a Japanese Holly, is a slow-growing, variable, evergreen shrub or small tree, growing up to 5m tall. Tiny, glossy scalloped dark green leaves grow to 3cm long and nearly 2cm wide. Small white flowers, borne in summer, are followed by shiny black fruits.

    Needs sun part of the day. If it is a topiary then ensure to prune at least once if not twice a year, so the topiary keeps it shape. If in containers repot every 2 years.
