Coco & Coir Coir Mulch - 60L

Our peat free mulch is 100% natural, made from peat free coir husk chips. Coco Chip can be used to mulch around all plants, including rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and other ericaceous, acid-loving plants. Spread around new plants to get them off to the perfect start. Coco Chip has been shown to reduce weed growth up to 90%, decreasing plant competition improves plant growth. Also, it helps retain moisture from the top of the soil and helps protect plants from slugs and snails as well as roots from frost. A fantastic alternative to chipped bark by providing an attractive finish to beds, borders and containers, while reducing evaporation and water loss. Lightweight, compact and easy to store in cupboards. Ideal for flats and smaller households. This 4.5kg compact coir block makes 65L compost. No lifting heavy bags of compost again! As it slowly breaks down in the soil, it increases soil porosity, enriches it, and improves soil structure.
